Season 2019 “A departure, an exile… an odyssey”

The Cyclops is a concrete and metal sculpture, partially covered with mirrors. This giant’s head, planted in the ground, seems to observe its surroundings with its one eye. It can be visited as a museum, revealing its rich and intimate universe, both serious and full of humour, a maze of artworks and curiosities. As high as a seven-storey building, it sits in the heart of the Milly Forest. Created by Jean Tinguely with the help of Niki de Saint-Phalle and their artist friends (Arman, César, Reynaud), the Cyclops is now an art center run by the eponymous association. Every year, Cyclops hosts exhibitions, performances, screenings, conferences and artist residencies within the frame of three major focuses: artistic research combining music and visual art, shared work, and a relationship to nature. This year, the Cyclop will host three exhibitions: Babi Badalov and Bertille Bak on April 6, Anna Byshkov and Yvan Etienne on May 18, and finally Bryan McCormack and Lorena Zilleruelo on June 22.
