Océanie - “Oceania”

A journey through the Pacific, encountering island cultures and populations of Oceania. From Papua New Guinea to Easter Island, from Hawaii to New Zealand, close to 200 artworks creating a panorama of a continent’s art, sharing traditions and confronting challenges of the future. This is the first exhibition in 35 years to present Oceanic cultures as a whole. Two hundred years after James Cook’s first trip to the Pacific, Oceania honours the artistic creations from the continent and its 25,000 islands.
